You may notice many of our lots aren’t out of Jackungah bred animals - that’s because we’ve sold our best females every year - year on year - and as a result we’ve had to source and secure females and embryos we like from a number of studs along the way to grow our herd. This offering represents the first calves out of some of our Sowden females, who milk well, are made right and are ultra stylish, plus some heifers out of two powerful Black Diamond cows including the Popcorn cow, and 2 bulls out of the biggest speckle cows we’ve seen in Lady Pretender and Witches Brew! Pemberton Speckle Park has been heavily involved in showing cattle with lots of success. One of our highlights of our showing career was when our Junior bull Pemberton Thunderbolt Q65 took out Supreme Champion at Sydney Royal 2021! At Pemberton we take great pride in breeding structurally correct animals. We work very hard on making sure our cows have great udders and our bulls are very sound. We also focus a lot on meeting the commercial buyers needs. Having entered the breed on a commercial basis initially, we were blown away at our speckle infused females’ easy do-ability, feed conversion, fertility and temperament. As the saying goes they ‘run off the smell of an oily rag!’ regardless of the season. In 2019 we made the decision to jump feet first into a stud operation alongside our current commercial operation, focusing on quality Speckle Park cattle bred for the Queensland market.
