SPECKLE PARK AUCTION Our Vendors
Born Ready Speckle Park Cattle Born Ready Speckle Park is a family-owned stud and commercial operation located on the beautiful Barrington Coast, NSW, proudly run by Brooke and Andrew “Paffy” Paff. Since 2017, we’ve been focused on building a high-quality foundation herd. Our animals are carefully selected for superior growth, excellent maternal instincts, ability to adapt to all climates, and exceptional temperaments, making them suitable for a variety of breeding goals. At Born Ready, we prioritise transparency and integrity. Our commitment to genetic selection, animal care, and performance ensures cattle that not only look impressive but also deliver outstanding results. We’re dedicated to building lasting relationships with our customers and supporting your breeding success. If you’re looking for an animal that’s “Born Ready” to perform - and maybe even enjoy a cuddle -we’ve got you covered.
Fox Tail Hill Speckle Park Fox Tail Hill Speckle Park was established in 2014 by Troy Hepburn with the recent addition of Fox Tail Hills Speckle Park in 2022 by Kate Hepburn. As a brother and sister duo, we run these studs as a family, working together to grow a stud herd of over 50 purebred females that we are proud of. We have had many successes at the Royal and local shows. At Fox Tail Hill we have focused on breeding our Speckle Park for both stud and beef purposes, leaning into the quality beef in Speckle Park cattle. With Troy being a butcher, we enjoy feeding and growing out show steers and butcher calves that are showing impressive carcase results and leaving customers wanting more. We are excited to offer Fox Tail Hill bred progeny that we are proud of and believe will go far in any herd and will continue to offer many more in the years to come. TROY HEPBURN 0473 385 962 | KATE HEPBURN 0490 692 647 Hawthorne Speckle Park Hawthorne Stud, located near Boonah in SE Qld is run by Kent and Libby Wells. After seeing a marked increase in weight gain in a mob of backgrounding steers in 2017, we started acquiring Speckle Park commercial cows and in 2021, our HAW prefix was registered. We enjoy seeking out the best genetics with proven progeny to give a good diversity of high performing females as a base herd in line with our motto ‘When Performance Counts’. We focus on temperament, fertility, fine coats and commercial performance and believe we have cattle that will perform well in Queensland conditions, being bred in ticky country with humid summers. KENT WELLS 0414 742 112 | LIBBY WELLS 0414 296 179 Ivery Downs Speckle Park Tucked away in Colinton, South East Queensland, Ivery Downs is proud to once again roll out the welcome mat (and the red carpet) for this year’s Hot Spot Multi-Vendor Speckle Park Auction. With a commercial herd of around 1,000 head and over 200 stud Speckle Park animals, we’re serious about breeding cattle that work hard and don’t ask for much in return. Between the heat, hills, ticks, droughts and the occasional flood for good measure, our cattle need to be tough, tidy and totally unbothered. That’s why we’ve built a herd that walks the talk -resilient, low-maintenance animals that consistently deliver results. The Ivery Downs draft in this catalogue showcases the kind of cattle that make “Better Output, Less Input” more than just a slogan, it’s our everyday reality. We’re proud of the cattle we’ve put forward and even prouder to be part of a community that values quality, integrity and the building of great relationships over the rails. Ewyn Speckle Park Ewyn Speckle Park was established in 2016 and is based at Balhannah in the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. We began with elite females from cow families with a proven track record in Australia and complemented these families with proven families out of Canada. Today, we have over 50 purebred cows and additional commercial cows used as recipients. We continue to introduce new genetics that will complement the current breeding program, by sourcing the very best sires and females that will add to the depth of our cow herd. Our breeding objective is to breed Speckle Park which are industry relevant for either stud or commercial use, by excelling in structural soundness, thickness, growth, maternal traits, docility and carcase quality. We have a 4.5 star completeness rating with Breedplan and continue to increase the data collected to optimise our selection criteria our client’s profitability. We aim for a balanced dataset of measured traits, and to provide low birth, high growth with carcase quality. We believe that what gets measured, gets results! Jackungah Speckle Park We are once again thrilled to make the trip north! We’re excited to offer 5 outstanding heifers and 2 stud quality bulls! You may notice many of our lots aren’t out of Jackungah bred animals - that’s because we’ve sold our best females every year - year on year - and as a result we’ve had to source and secure females and embryos we like from a number of studs along the way to grow our herd. This offering represents the first calves out of some of our Sowden females, who milk well, are made right and are ultra stylish, plus some heifers out of two powerful Black Diamond cows including the Popcorn cow, and 2 bulls out of the biggest speckle cows we’ve seen in Lady Pretender and Witches Brew! A great range of genetics, chosen from the heart of our program! We once again thank Dale, Stacey and the team at Ivery Downs for hosting the sale and wish the vendors and purchasers the very best! JACK NELSON 0448 716 464 Oakleigh Speckle Park Nicole Oldfield and Tom French are the proud owners of Oakleigh Speckle Park, a small family-run stud located near Dayboro, QLD. We take pride in maintaining a herd of registered cattle. Established in 2023, our stud has achieved significant milestones, including the introduction of our first ET heifer calf to the show scene in 2025. We are honoured to be part of the prestigious Hot Spot Multi-Vendor Speckle Park Auction. NICOLE OLDFIELD 0421 359 861 | TOM FRENCH 0415 418 781 Pemberton Speckle Park Pemberton Speckle Park was established in 2013. It is run by father, daughter team Tim and Taleah Bell. Pemberton Speckle Park has been heavily involved in showing cattle with lots of success. One of our highlights of our showing career was when our Junior bull Pemberton Thunderbolt Q65 took out Supreme Champion at Sydney Royal 2021! At Pemberton we take great pride in breeding structurally correct animals. We work very hard on making sure our cows have great udders and our bulls are very sound. We also focus a lot on meeting the commercial buyers needs. At Pemberton we believe “don’t wait for the opportunity, create it.” TIM BELL 0427 709 003 | TALEAH BELL 0418 496 185 SND Signature Speckles SND Signature Speckles is a family run operation comprising Shaun and Debbie along with their two children, Logan and Sophie, based on the Darling Downs near Pittsworth QLD. Having entered the breed on a commercial basis initially, we were blown away at our speckle infused females’ easy do-ability, feed conversion, fertility and temperament. As the saying goes they ‘run off the smell of an oily rag!’ regardless of the season. In 2019 we made the decision to jump feet first into a stud operation alongside our current commercial operation, focusing on quality Speckle Park cattle bred for the Queensland market. We are passionate about the breed and the impact it is having, and will continue to have, on the Australian beef industry. SHAUN BLACK 0427 762 939 | DEBBIE BLACK 0428 476 319
Specks on the Hill Specks on the Hill is located at Stoneleigh on the Darling Downs in Queensland. As a smaller, family run operation, our aim is to breed for a docile temperament, calving ease and an animal that is not only top quality but tastes great on everyone’s plate. We believe that the Speckle Park breed has a lot to offer both large and small commercial and stud operations in almost any location.

Uptown Spunk is a moderate-framed female who’s been a standout since day one. With a wide muzzle, softness, and an easy-doing growth pattern, she thrives even in the harshest conditions. This heifer remains open due to recent extreme weather limiting bull access, making her a flexible addition to fit seamlessly into your breeding program. She sells with 5 straws of NGL M18 — giving you a head start on building something special.

If frame is your game, keeps tabs on Up For Grabs! She provides plenty of versatility at joining as she has the length and strength of spine, femininity, and high end foot quality to go along with all that frame. On 31 July 2025, she tipped the scales at 680kg and as you can see, that is not because she has been into the lolly jar! Up for Grabs matches the phenotype with a powerful EBV profile seeing her in the Top 1% for EMA and RBY, Top 2% for CW, Top 4% for 400 and 600 DW, Top 8% for 200 day and MCW. Up For Grabs also boasts strong Index figures approaching the Top 1% for both the Domestic and Export Terminal Indexes ($39 vs breed average of $18 and $55 vs breed average of $29 respectively) and Export Maternal Index inside the Top 10% ($42 vs breed average of $21). She has been running with BDS U2667 in the lead up to the sale and will be pregnancy checked before sale day.
