Born Ready Speckle Park Cattle Born Ready Speckle Park is a family-owned stud and commercial operation located on the beautiful Barrington Coast, NSW, proudly run by Brooke and Andrew “Paffy” Paff. Since 2017, we’ve been focused on building a high-quality foundation herd. Our animals are carefully selected for superior growth, excellent maternal instincts, ability to adapt to all climates, and exceptional temperaments, making them suitable for a variety of breeding goals. At Born Ready, we prioritise transparency and integrity. Our commitment to genetic selection, animal care, and performance ensures cattle that not only look impressive but also deliver outstanding results. We’re dedicated to building lasting relationships with our customers and supporting your breeding success. If you’re looking for an animal that’s “Born Ready” to perform – and maybe even enjoy a cuddle – we’ve got you covered.
Hawthorne Speckle Park Hawthorne Stud, located near Boonah in SE Qld is run by Kent and Libby Wells. After seeing a marked increase in weight gain in a mob of backgrounding steers in 2017, we started acquiring Speckle Park commercial cows and in 2021, our HAW prefix was registered. We enjoy seeking out the best genetics with proven progeny to give a good diversity of high performing females as a base herd in line with our motto ‘When Performance Counts’. We focus on temperament, fertility, fine coats and commercial performance and believe we have cattle that will perform well in Queensland conditions, being bred in ticky country with humid summers.

Ivery Downs is based in Colinton, South East Queensland and is proud to host the Hot Spot Multi-Vendor Speckle Park Auction. We run a commercial herd of circa 1,000 head plus over 200 stud Speckle Park animals. Being located in Queensland, away from the breeze of the coast, we have heat, ticks, hills, droughts and floods to contend with therefore, resilient and structurally correct animals with the constitution to remain functional and sound are critically important to us. The Ivery Downs animals in this catalogue possess the traits we consider necessary to perform in a variety of conditions and provide you with the benefits to which we have become accustomed since making the change to Speckle Park. We are very proud of the Ivery Downs Speckle Park offering in this sale and look forward to building lasting relationships with the successful bidders.
We established our Speckle Park stud in 2018 to compliment and enhance our commercial cattle operation. We have been commercial cattle breeders for 5 generations, moving from the Northern Rivers in NSW, into Queensland in 1990. Our mission is to produce high performing and good quality cattle that go on and perform for our clients, with our herd continually improving annually due to our stringent breeding selection. Temperament of our cattle is number one, as can be seen when we have farm visits from prospective customers and repeat buyers. We continually hear from our purchasers that the temperament of the offspring produced by our bulls is amazing – this leads to better feed conversion, better carcass, and most importantly, better profit. We look forward to consigning 2 outstanding heifers at the Hot Spot Autumn Affair sale.

We are once again thrilled to make the trip north! After a successful Spring Hot Spot sale, it was a no-brainer to return this autumn! We’re excited to offer 6 outstanding Autumn born females and 4 steers. With the Speckle Feature Show at Brisbane in mind, we’ve offered our best, with animals we consider contenders come August! Our females include some first time offerings from new cow families, and what we believe to be the first INC Talladega daughter to sell in Australia! Our steers are bum busters, selected from a large group as the top end! We’ve enjoyed success both on the hoof and hook at Melbourne Royal over the last 15 years and look forward to watching our steers compete at the top level! We once again thank Dale, Stacey and the team at Ivery Downs for hosting the sale, and wish the vendors and purchasers the very best!

Fox Tail Hill Speckle Park Fox Tail Hill Speckle Park was established in 2014 by Troy Hepburn with the recent addition of Fox Tail Hills Speckle Park in 2022 by Kate Hepburn. As a brother and sister duo, we run these studs as a family, working together to grow a stud herd of over 50 purebred females that we are proud of. We have had many successes at the Royal and local shows. At Fox Tail Hill we have focused on breeding our Speckle Park for both stud and beef purposes, leaning into the quality beef in Speckle Park cattle. With Troy being a butcher, we enjoy feeding and growing out show steers and butcher calves that are showing impressive carcase results and leaving customers wanting more. We are excited to offer Fox Tail Hill bred progeny that we are proud of and believe will go far in any herd and will continue to offer many more in the years to come.

Novae Speckle Park Back again for our third Hot Spot sale and inaugural Autumn Affair, we are Belinda and Nick Endres from Novae Speckle Park in Nobby, South East Queensland. Established in 2018, we have meticulously assembled a wide range of foundation genetics from highly influential family lines. Our own elite Novae females now form the bulk of our donor pen, allowing us to run multiple flush and AI programs each year. Out in the paddock we pressure test our genetic decisions by running stud animals side by side with commercial and recipient livestock. With a regenerative agriculture focus, we place heavy selection pressure on our animals to exhibit environmental adaptation, longevity, fertility, structural correctness and natural foraging ability with limited to no supplemental inputs. We are proud to bring another quality line up of animals to the very first Autumn Affair and offer some truly remarkable herd building genetics from the heart of Novae Speckle Park.
For enquiries regarding these animals, please contact GLM.

Pemberton Speckle Park was established in 2013. It is run by father, daughter team Tim and Taleah Bell. Pemberton Speckle Park has been heavily involved in showing cattle with lots of success. One of our highlights of our showing career was when our Junior bull Pemberton Thunderbolt Q65 took out Supreme Champion at Sydney Royal 2021! At Pemberton we take great pride in breeding structurally correct animals. We work very hard on making sure our cows have great udders and our bulls are very sound. We also focus a lot on meeting the commercial buyers needs. At Pemberton we believe “don’t wait for the opportunity, create it.”

An animal’s breeding value can be defined as its genetic merit for each trait. With a young breed and limited data currently available, it is not possible to determine an animal’s true breeding value – only estimates can be provided. To the extent they are available from SPI, EBVs have been included for each Stud Lot.

One thing you can never have enough of…Putnam daughters! Appreciated for their feminine build, high end udder quality, and structural correctness, Ivery Downs Unblemished U60 is another great example. Her dam, Steggles Jane, is a powerful brood cow that continues to produce top end offspring with every bull used over her. We look forward to watching U60 grow into a powerfully productive female that goes on to be a cornerstone female for her new owner. This Champion show heifer was originally placed in our keeper pen with no intention of ever selling her. However, after several heated discussions and our commitment to offering only our best, we present her for your consideration. Sass is arguably the cleanest heifer we’ve ever bred to date. She combines impressive depth, width, and length in one powerful yet moderate package. Her structure is impeccable, showcasing her well-balanced feminine frame. She has a calm and sweet demeanor, making her a pleasure to handle. Sass have been joined to NGL M18, our exceptional Black herd sire. We expect big things from this pairing and look forward to following their progress as a Cow and Calf Unit. Don’t miss the chance to add this remarkable heifer to your herd – she’s truly something special and was Born Ready to turn heads.

“Selling our best, as we progress” is our slogan, and here you go - our best Autumn drop heifer! This girl is simply outstanding! Super fronted, deep flanked, loads of depth and have a look at the extra growth and performace! We could talk about how good V122 is all day! But how about the pedigree!!! The first INC Talladega 11J daughter to sell in Australia! 11J was Champion or Reserve Grand Champion at just about every show he attended in Canada! V122’s dam, Quilty Q76 came to us with the Sowden herd, and aren’t we glad to have her - she is so well made with a tremendous udder, great temperament and regualarly produces the great ones! V122 is sure to follow in her dam’s footsteps! If there was a heifer at Jackungah we thought was a serious contender for the feature show, here she is! Note the age on this girl only April born! (The registration for this female is currently pending. Refer to supplementary sheet for updated information.)

Herd builder! Secure a future matriarch from the heart of the Novae herd. Urban Strut turned heads as the Grand Champion Female at the 2024 Glen Innes Show at just 10 months of age. For us she is the complete package of presence, structure, performance and simply oozes femininity. Sired by the legendary Rare Commodity her pedigree combines two of the most important female families in the breed, Pho Finish and Reba. This is the only female we have ever released from Steggles Nicole – the cornerstone of our herd. Nicole is powerful yet feminine and she consistently raises a strong natural calf on top of being a prolific donor. Urban Strut is confirmed pregnant to Dorroughby Recruit, the high selling bull at their 2022 sale and winner of the 2022 ACM Sire Shootout. She is due end July-early August 2025 and is expected to have a heifer calf from this joining. Novae Urban Strut represents a rare opportunity to add elite genetics to your herd. Urban Strut is a standout in every sense.
