The Grand Pri x w ill c u lminate in w inter 2026 thro u gh a t w o - part competition str u ct u re :
• the ‘ hoof ’ component , w here animals are assessed and j u dged on their str u ct u ral correctness , balance and s u itabilit y as beef animals , and • the ‘ hook ’ component , w here carcases are e v al u ated d u ring the Ro y al Q u eensland Sho w (‘ Ekka ’) against objecti v e criteria foc u sed on eating q u alit y and commercial performance . Res u lts from both phases w ill be combined to determine o v erall champions - w ith pri z es that reflect the tr u e cost , commitment and e x pertise req u ired to compete at this le v el .
